We Install Leak-Free Compressed Air Pipe Systems

Truth be told, we have been installing RapidAir Compressed Air Pipe Systems since 2015 and we have never had one call-back for any reason including but not limited to an air leak.  However, we have been called back to add on to a system we installed.

Air Leaks in compressed air pipe systems are the major causes of energy loss.  While the traditional materials used for piping are black iron, copper and plastic, there is a more environmentally friendly, cost-effective option like aluminum that will also give your system similar if not better performance.  RapidAir Piping also features a unique lock-and-seal design for a leak-free system in all your applications.  RapidAir Compressed Air Piping is the best alternative available because it offers the highest quality, performance, and durability compared to any heavy-duty air piping, but at at a fraction of the cost.

Air Leaks: the Main Source of Energy Loss & Equipment Failure in a Compressed Air System

In a compressed air pipe system, air leaks are the largest single source of energy loss.  Leaks can affect as much as 20 to 30% of the system's energy consumption.  They reduce equipment life and production capacity and; hence, are a very costly source of waste.  While air leaks are the main source of energy loss, they also can cause productivity loss.  They cause the system's pressure to fluctuate, which can reduce production rate and quality.   Air Leaks can also reduce the service life of your compressors and equipment.  In short, if your air compressor system has an air leak, it should be fixed or the section of the pipe system replaced

Black iron, Plastic and Copper are Traditional Piping Materials

When installing a compressed air pipe system, you should pay close attention to the material.  Plastic is a good option when it comes to minimizing air particulates because of its smooth interior surface.  Plastic is highly corrosion-resistant and relatively light-weight.  However, it has significantly less strength and durability than its metallic piping counterparts.  Plastic piping also degrade when exposed to oil, the biofilm of some bacteria, and the weather.  However, plastic pipes do come with OSHA-approved cement that will hold a joint as strong as that of a metal pipe.  Metal pipes are heavier than plastic piping, and they may require special tools to install.  Plastic pipes are easy to fit and require only simple tools for installation.  Plastic (PVC) also requires less labor compared to metals.

Copper is an expensive material but is very reliable.  Copper is more difficult to work with, but it is aesthetically pleasing. However, soldering copper joints can be difficult and time-consuming requiring significant soldering expertise to make it air-tight.  Another alternative is black iron piping, which can be purchased at most hardware stores.  However, black iron piping is highly susceptible to corrosion especially from the inside out and; therefore, it can be the source of significant debris, air blockages and equipment failure.

RapidAir piping is an Environmentally Sustainable Alternative

RapidAir piping offers the performance and durability of heavy steel pipe without the costs and environmental impact of plastic systems. Its revolutionary lock-and-seal design offers leak-free systems in a wide variety of applications.  Moreover, its powder-coated aluminum pipes and nickel-plated fittings have long-term versatility and durability.  RapidAir Piping is available in six different sizes.

Compressed air pipe systems traditionally use materials such as copper, stainless steel, and galvanized steel. However, many companies have started to switch to aluminum piping for a variety of reasons. These benefits include increased longevity and cleaner air. Additionally, compressed air systems using RapidAir piping are more environmentally friendly than steel systems.

RapidAir piping is an extremely reliable alternative.

If you're looking for a high quality compressed air pipe system, RapidAir piping is likely your best choice.  With a long history of designing air piping products, RapidAir is well-established in the industry.  The brand's high-quality piping and accessories are known for their reliability and extended service life.

Questions to ask before you repair or replace a Commercial Air Compressor.

Commercial Air Compressor Installation, Repair and Rental
  • What is the Age of your Commercial Air Compressor?

Commercial Air Compressors and most Commercial Equipment are made to be repaired. Commercial Air Compressors have a lifespan of 10-30 years depending on their usage, quality of the installation, and subsequent maintenance.  If your commercial equipment is approaching the end of its life, please ask us for a second opinion.  We always advocate for repair before replacement. However, if a repair is expected to cost 30-40% of replacement, we will consider replacement of a component or an entire system. A clear understanding of the scope of repairs vs the cost of replacement will help you assess whether you should proceed to repair or replace based on what is best for your business!

Paramount to our ethics is our sincere promise to save you any expense possible.  It is a long-term relationship that we seek- not a one-off job!

  • Is your commercial equipment under warranty?

To help protect your Commercial Compressor and other Commercial Appliances, determine if they are under warranty and how long the manufacturer's coverage lasts.  We are more than happy to check the warranty status of your commercial equipment and to file all warranty paperwork.  Most commercial appliance brands offer 12 - 36 months of repair services without charging you a penny!  We register all product warranties for our clients.

  • How much is your commercial appliance used?

Your Commercial Compressor is an important part of your business; quite possibly the heart of your business.  It should not be taken lightly. If we find that the cost to repair is more than 30-40% of its replacement cost (which is quite rare) then we will consider replacing it with a new, top-of-the line model.  We do have rental Air Compressors in stock.
